Overview
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is a modern architectural masterpiece and one of the most spectacular mosques in the world. Completed in 2007, the mosque was built in honor of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the UAE.
The mosque accommodates over 40,000 worshippers and boasts 82 domes, 1,000 columns, and the world’s largest hand-knotted carpet, covering an area of 5,627 square meters. The chandeliers, adorned with millions of Swarovski crystals, add to its opulence.
